Welcome to TON. We’re glad you’ve found us.

Maybe you’ve been throwing for a while. Maybe this is all completely new to you. No matter your level of experience, if you want to learn more about clay in general and throwing in particular, you’ve come to the right place.

But don’t take our word for it. Find out for yourself!

  • TON (German for ‘clay’) is our workshop and teaching facility in Zirl, Austria. It’s the place where we make our range of functional pots - and it is also the place where we teach and share our passion with clay enthusiasts from all over.

    We travelled around half the world to study, train and work at art schools, universities and pottery studios before settling in Tyrol.

    We have more than 30 years experience making pots between us and share a passion for good design and craftsmanship.

    In our classes we share our passion, expertise and attention to detail with you. Our course formats are designed to give you time to practice, explore, experiment - in short: to learn - and hopefully have some fun in the process.
